What I teach

I believe we need both Yin and Yang in our lives, therefore I practice and teach a range of different styles of yoga and movement. 

Sunset Yoga

HATHA & VINYASA

Classic and straight forward. Depending on the class description I design the sequence as a set of asanas or as a flow that we repeat a few times to get into a meditative space.

 

Combining the strength of the asana, the flow of movement and the challenge of balance these classes are powerful and playful. I try to teach as inclusive as possible, offering options to match different bodies.

 

Since I believe we need both movement and stillness, we always round off with a long savasana.

AUTHENTIC FLOW

This is an intuitive, embodied and explorative yoga practice. The classes are designed to truly tune in and listen to your body, to move according to whatever your needs are today.

 

It's a playful practice with lots of free, intuitive movement - allowing for exploration and creativity.

 

Music plays a big part in these classes, helping you to get into the mode and the flow of mindful movement. 

Yoga Child's Pose

EMBODIED YIN

This is where we gently move into deep relaxation, stillness and rest. Using tons of props, intuitive movement and somatics, these classes are super sweet for exploring both body and mind.

 

Time is the key here. We move slowly and rest in poses for a generous amount of time before we gently move on to the next. We turn our senses inwards and listen deeply to the wisdom that lives in our bodies.

 

The classes usually have a specific theme inspired by the five phases of Traditional Chinese Medicine: Earth, Water, Wood, Fire and Metal.

SOMA MOVE

Soma Move is based around four key areas; cardio, mobility, strength and balance. Each set of movements are designed for you to find your own challenge within those areas.

We move with grace through 4-6 mindfully crafted movement patterns, repeating each pattern twice. This is a full body workout inspired by various disciplines such as yoga, dance, animalistic movement and martial arts.

Leave your shoes at home, we move barefoot on our yoga mat!
